Images from Spetses in this year’s Netflix movie teaser

The island of Spetses and the iconic Poseidonion Grand Hotel are included in the teaser for Netflix’s global campaign for its new 2022 releases.

The online TV platform makes specific reference to the film “Knives Out 2”, which was filmed on the island and the hotel, but also in the wider region of Argolida.

Featuring a cast of highly popular and established actors including Daniel Craig, Ethan Hawke, Kate Hudson, Edward Norton and others, the film will premiere in 2022 and is the sequel to the first Knives Out, which was released in 2019 to critical acclaim.

Spetses and the Poseidonion Grand Hotel are, among other locations, the backdrop of the film, showcasing one of the most beautiful islands of Greece and one of its most historic hotels.

It is recalled that the image of Spetses is likely to be included in this year’s Oscar ceremony if, as expected, the film “The Lost Daughter”, which was mostly shot on the historic island of the Saronic Gulf, is nominated for the award. The announcement of the nominations is expected next Tuesday, February 8.
